Resilience, Original Drawing
This is the original drawing I created in preparation for the painted version. I really liked how the drawing turned out, so I went back into it and worked in more of the detail and shading. I had an oval frame it fit into just right after trimming the edges to fit.
The imagery was inspired from a little roadside shop in Vermont, that was filled with antiques and old nature magazines. I’m also an admirer of crows and ravens for their intelligence and abilities to work together to protect their community. They’re striking birds, so I’m happy when I can incorporate them into my pieces.
Frame is new, black molded plastic with felt back. Glass over top.
Drawing with frame measures: 13.5 x 16.5
