Hope

by Ron Lemen

I have been thinking a lot about our friends who have recently had newborn children, and about several members in our family with these awesome, young, vibrant toddlers that are so much fun to visit.  I think about how amazing it must be to be in a stage of life that is not caught up in the adult ways or concerns, open to exploration and curiosity for how the world works.

I painted this idea as an answer to questions I have about their future, it is called Hope.  She is painted in acrylic and gouache.  Her hair is dark blue green, and in it she wears a wreath symbolizing mother nature, the single white rose a reflection of her innocence.    A circle of strength surrounds her, delicately holding the egg of life at the top of the circle.  She clasps her hands tightly, confident that her prayers are heard.

She is painted in acrylic and gouache on 9 x 12″ illustration board.  Bring Hope into your life and this new year for only $450.
